Illusionist Oake on Sky Centre stage Jan. 18

-

Fast-rising Canadian illusionist Darcy Oake will be performing an evening of illusions at the Living Sky Casino on Jan. 18.

Oake, who gained international notoriety with his breakout performances on the Britain's Got Talent stage, will be on the Living Sky Casino's stage for a one-night performance on Jan. 18 at 8 p.m. Pre-sale tickets for Players Club members go on sale at 10 a. m. on Wednesday (call 306-7785759 or visit the Box Office in person), while regular tickets go on sale on Friday at 10 a.m.

The Winnipeg born illusionist placed fifth overall during the 2014 season of Britain's Got Talent, but he captured the imagination of the viewers with his unprecedented illusions. The YouTube video of Oake's debut illusion has 38 million views and his memorable upside down straightjacket escape from Britain's Got Talent 2014 Final has over 6.3 million views.

Oake is described as a performance artist whose modern interpretation gratifies the hunger of audiences seeking spectacle and nail-biting feats of illusion.

He became an international magic champion at the tender age of 16, and he has performed throughout Europe, from Paris to London, and across North America, from the heart of Times Square in New York City to the Las Vegas strip.

Since his standout performance in Britain's Got Talent, he has performed in the UK, India and Kazakhstan.
