A39 year old hockey coach from Cabri was arrested on Wednesday and is facing four charges of inappropriate interactions with a male youth.

Ryan Chamberlin appeared in Swift Current Provincial Court on Friday facing charges of sexual assault, invitation to sexual touching, sexual interference and sexual exploitation. He was released from custody under conditions including not to communicate, directly or indirectly, with the victim and any persons under the age of 18 unless in the company of an adult who has been approved for such a purpose by the probation officer or supervisor.

He will be making his next court appearance at Swift Current Provincial Court on Monday, March 23.

Chamberlin is a hockey coach with work extending into several communities in southern Saskatchewan.

An initial complaint was placed by the parent of a male youth to the Maple Creek RCMP on Wednesday advising their son had confronted them about the inappropriate interactions.

At this time, no additional victims have been identified, but investigators are conducting additional interviews and gathering additional evidence.

Investigators are asking parents who know their children had contact with Ryan Chamberlin to ask if there were any private uncomfortable or inappropriate conversations or interactions with Chamberlin. Parents are asked to discuss with their children the nature of these conversations or interactions and report anything they are uncomfortable with to the Swift Current RCMP General Investigation Section.
