Schiffner back on top at Swift Current Cody Snyder PBR
The champion of the inaugural Swift Current Cody Snyder PBR in 2011 was back in the winners circle in 2015.
Scott Schiffner won his second Pro Bull Riding championship in Swift Current on Saturday night thanks to an 87 point ride in the Long Go Round to finish best among the field of 30 competitors.
There were seven qualified rides by the 30 bull riders, but when the top 10 competitors advanced to the Short Go no competitor was able to hang on for eight seconds.
Schiffner pocketed $5,506 for his winning Long Go ride, placing ahead of Tim Lipsett who was even runner up with an 86 point ride.
"After I got off I kind of had a feeling I would be in kind of the top two or three," admitted Schiffner following his eight second ride aboard Attitude Dude from Bruce Sunstrom's Big Stone Rodeo Company. "I've seen that bull quite a bit. That bull usually goes to the right, and I was kinda thinking about that. But he just stepped in the door to the left. Either way that bull turns he's just really good, and kicking and spinning. He's one, if you can have a bull like that everywhere you go you could win a lot of money."
