Peewee Broncos post shutout in regular season finale

The Swift Current Southwest Terminal Broncos concluded a dominant South Sask Peewee AA Hockey League regular season with a 10-0 win over the visiting Moose Jaw Warriors Wednesday.

The Broncos got goals from seven different skaters and a shutout in goal from Hunter Arntsen to finish the regular season with a 24-1-0 record.

Captain Jaydon Jessiman led the Broncos with four goals, while Dayne Feicht registered a goal and three assists.

Kalan Lind added a goal and two assists as he finished the season with 57 goals and 37 assists to lead the league in scoring. The Shaunavon product led the league with 12 power play goals, 11 power play assists, 11 shorthande­d goals and 12 game winning goals while averaging 3.8 points per game.

Rohan Priebe, Brady Wilson, and Daniel Ganert each added a goal and an assist. Rylan Williams also scored, while Keynan Cairns and Kane Klassen chipped in single helpers.

Jessiman finished the season second in points with 32 goals and 21 assists. Priebe was third in league scoring with 21 goals and 28 assists in 25 games as the Broncos finished with six of the top nine scorers in the six-team league.

Feicht was tied for fourth with 48 points, Brady

Wilson was eighth with

36 points, and Ganert registered 33 points in 24 games to finish ninth in league scoring.

Arntsen led the league with 13 wins and was second with a 2.15 goals against average. Teammate Rylan Hildebrand led all goaltender­s with four shutouts and a 1.67 GAA.

The Broncos outscored their opposition 205-48 over the regular season. They will have a bye into the second round of the league playoffs.
