Durum/mustard Field Day set for July 19
The first of two field days planned this summer at the Swift Current AAFC Research Centre will be held on July 19.
On Thursday, July 19, there will be a Durum/mustard Field Day from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The presentations scheduled for the day are as follows:
• Durum varieties demo - Ron Depauw, Secan;
• Provincial durum yield trial - Ruan Yuefeng, AAFC;
• Durum/pulse/oilseed long-term rotation - Yantai Gan, AAFC and Mitchell Japp, Saskatchewan Agriculture;
• Chickpea and flax intercropping demo - Michelle Hubbard, AAFC;
• Mustard varieties including new hybrids - Bifang Cheng, AAFC;
• Nitrogen response in yellow and brown oriental mustard - Matthew Bernard, Saskatchewan Agriculture;
• New mustard hybrids demonstration - Matthew Bernard, Saskatchewan Agriculture; • Phosphorus fertility management in lentils - Shannon Chant, Saskatchewan Agriculture;
• 4R Fertility – UAN use in wheat.

This event is hosted by Agriculture and Agri-food Canada, Saskatchewan Agriculture, the Wheatland Conservation Area, Sask Mustard and Secan.
