Ban­tam Colts dom­i­nate play­off opener

The Swift Cur­rent Colts got their Saskatchew­an Fe­male Ban­tam Hockey League play­offs out to a dom­i­nat­ing start.

The third seeded Colts de­feated the vis­it­ing Bal­car­res Bar­racu­das 7-1 on Wed­nes­day to open the best-of-three South Di­vi­sion quar­ter-fi­nal se­ries.

Sadie Keller led the Colts with four goals and one as­sist, in­clud­ing a pair of short­handed goals 44 sec­onds apart in the third pe­riod. Tess Bakus added four as­sists as well. Mya Brown, Paisly Arntsen, and Chloe Shu­maker also scored. Bro­gan Carl­son, Mya Gi­rard, Ava Geissler, and Re­becca El­liot all added as­sists. An­nika Kirk earned the win in goal.

Game two will be Satur­day in Bal­car­res.
