Hunter Brothers hunting for first CCMA Award this fall
Shaunavon’s own Hunter Brothers are on the ballot for the third consecutive year as they hunt for their first Canadian Country Music Association Award.
Hunter Brothers were nominated for a trio of 2019 Canadian Country Music Association Awards this past week. The year 2019 has been a break out year for Luke, J.J., Ty, Brock and Dusty Hunter. Back in January they released their sophomore album State Of Mind, and they embarked on a 27 date national tour as part of The Journey Tour with Paul Brandt. They were also featured during the musical evening during the Hockey Day In Canada festivities in Swift Current. The year kept getting better, as they also performed the National Anthem at the Toronto Blue Jays opening day in March.
Hunter Brothers have been nominated in the categories of Album of the Year for State Of Mind, Apple Music Fans’ Choice, plus Group or Duo of the Year. Additionally, director Ben Knechtel is nominated in the Video Director of the Year category for directing the Hunter Brothers video Lost along with 11 other videos.
Back in 2018, Hunter Brothers earned a trio of award nominations in the Interactive Artist or Group of the Year, the Rising Star Award, and Group or Duo of the Year.
Hunter Brothers earned their first CCMA Award nomination in 2017 when they were nominated in the Interactive Artist or Group of the Year category.
Aaron Goodvin, who will be playing at the Living Sky Casino on October 17 and 18 in conjunction with the Canadian Cowboys’ Association Finals Rodeo, was nominated as Interactive Artist or Group of the Year.
The 2019 CCMA Awards will be held in Calgary on September 8.
