Southwest skaters at Skate Canada Challenge

A pair of Southwest figure skaters represented Saskatchewan at the 2020 Skate Canada Challenge in Edmonton last week. Gull Lake’s Kiara Slabik finished in 36th spot in the Novice Women field. She scored 31.13 in the short program to sit 37th. Slabik added a score of 55.11 in the full program, also 37th.

Vanguard’s Rylee Finlay placed 43rd in the Pre Novice Women competition. She scored 21.74 in the short program to sit 43rd. Finlay followed up with a 36.72 score in the full program, also 43rd overall.
