Ideal golfing conditions greeted teams participating in the 14th Annual Charity Golf Classic on September 11 in support of the Dr. Noble Irwin Regional Healthcare Foundation.

The annual fundraiser attracted 140 golfers, and instead of their traditional Texas Scramble format the day of golf had tee times running from 9:20 a.m. to 3 p.m.

“It was great because it was a great day. The sun was shining and it was just beautiful out,” explained Jim Dekowny,

Executive Director of the

Dr. Noble Irwin Regional

Healthcare Foundation

“Going by the atmosphere on the deck and in the clubhouse, while everybody was social distancing and making sure that that was done properly, everybody seemed to have quite a bit of fun.”

Proceeds from the golfing fundraiser were raised in support of the

Foundation’s campaign to raise money for the

Renal Dialysis Unit at the

Cypress Regional Hospital.

While the final totals are still being calculated, he anticipates they will raise between their historical range of $25,000 to $30,000, and he extended a thank you to

Fraser Kochan and Jerrod

Schafer from RBC Wealth

Management and Securities for their efforts as

Heritage Sponsor of the tournament.
