“That’s it, we found a way,” said Brockman. “There’s lots of guys that played a lot. Give them a lot of credit for their resiliency. We stuck with the game plan. We knew that we had to be patient because we weren’t going to have a lot of opportunit­ies just because of the lack of energy. Good on our guys for playing as well as we did.”

The Broncos had struggled in the three previous games against the Pats this season.

“I don’t think we’ve played very good against them at all. We’ve had spurts against them, but any time we could get any momentum in the past we just got it killed by doing something that we shouldn’t be. Today I thought we did a much better job of that. Sometimes the simpler the better and our guys kind of stuck to the game plan,” said Brockman.

Wyrostok’s game winner will be a memorable moment from a unique season in Regina.

“I made a play on the wall, got the puck to Pelletier. He drove the middle and it ended up coming off his stick and went to Pickering. I just went to the net and Williams got the puck and he made a gorgeous pass to me. It was an easy tap in for me,” said Wyrostok.

“Wyro went to the net with his stick down, going to the back post. It was really a goal scorer’s goal because most people will go to the middle of the net. He went to the back post and it was a great redirect,” added Brockman.

Sunday, Cole Nagy’s hat trick helped the

Broncos to their first two-game winning streak of the season with a 4-2 win over the Moose Jaw Warriors in their second last game of the season.

Poulter made 36 saves on 38 shots as the Broncos tied the season series 2-2 with the Warriors. Brett Mirwald took the loss with 28 saves for the Warriors.

The Broncos took the lead with a Raphael Pelletier power play goal in the first period as he knocked home a puck from a scramble.
