Southwest charities will benefit from support during Fuel Good Day on September 21

Pioneer Co-op is providing members and customers with another opportunit­y to Fill Up, Fuel Good and provide much needed help to community organizati­ons.

As part of Fuel Good Day on Tuesday, September 21, 10 cents from every litre of fuel sold at Pioneer Co-op Gas Bars throughout Southwest Saskatchew­an will be shared by Grand Coteau Heritage & Cultural Centre in Shaunavon, Great Sandhills Museum & Cultural Centre in Sceptre, Morse Museum & Cultural Centre in Morse and Notukeu Heritage Museum in Ponteix. This includes all grades of gasoline and diesel fuel.

- born to a Co-operative Coffee or a Big Cool Slush Drink that day, another $1 will be donated.

“This is an annual fundraiser that has raised thousands of dollars for community organizati­ons in Southwest Saskatchew­an,” said Pioneer Co-op CEO, Larry Kozun. “Last year we were able to raise $9,928 for Sask 4-H Council, Girl Guides, Shaunavon Food Bank and Kyle Food Bank. We are hoping that our members will continue to help us support our community by meeting or beating that number this year.”

Since 2017, Co-op locations across Western Canada have donated $2.4 million to more than 600 local registered charities and non-profit organizati­ons as part of Fuel Good Day.
