Bourgault pitches leadership campaign platform in Swift Current

- SCOTT ANDERSON

Conservative Party of Canada leadership candidate Joseph Bourgault shared a variety of ideas from his platform during a stop in Swift Current on April 10 which wrapped up a seven community Saskatchewan tour.

Bourgault wrapped up his four-day Truth, Freedom and Justice tour in Swift Current after previous stops in Prince Albert, Tisdale, Regina, Weyburn, Estevan and Moose Jaw.

Bourgault, who is President of Bourgault Tillage Tools and well as Canadians for Truth, said he was prompted to run because of significant issues at the federal level.

“I feel, number one, the country’s headed in the wrong direction and it has been some time and it’s headed for a lot of trouble,” he said at Sunday’s tour stop.

“We’ve doubled our national debt over really the past two years. The Trudeau Liberal-ndp coalition government added $400 billion to our national debt,” Bourgault said.

“It’s hard to pin down the exact number but it looks like at least $500 billion was added to our national debt, and that’s catastrophic for the country for our children and grandchildren and future generations. We can not continue on the pace of spending that this Ndp-liberal coalition government is spending.”

He said he has developed a new tax plan which would give workers more spending power, create more jobs and lead to more investment, and grow the economy.

“I believe I have the ideas that would allow the Conservatives to defeat the Liberals and the NDP. I have worked 25 years to develop a tax plan. It’s simple but its taken a lot of years to get to where I’m at the point where I feel I’m ready to run for the leadership of the Conservative Party.”

“I believe this tax plan will help every Canadian citizen to fulfill a vision of health, happiness, peace and prosperity. I believe the tax plan that I have it’s mathematical, you can’t argue with it because it’s mathematical. And it’s statistically proven that as Canadian’s incomes rise so does their health and happiness and prosperity. And so I know how to do this, and I know where the money is going to come from to make this happen.”

Bourgault also was prompted to run of Conservative Party of Canada leader because of his concerns over the handling of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“I feel that they (the federal government) grossly, grossly mismanaged the COVID-19. Anybody that is an honest truth seeker and has any knowledge in medicine like I do. I recovered from a life threatening illness, and I’ve studied natural health and healing for 30 years. I understand health and wellness very well,” he said.

“I owned a health food store for 20 years that I had founded in St. Brieux, and so I knew how to prevent and treat viral illnesses. And it just blew me away that our doctors would not be allowed to prescribe therapeutics like Hydroxychloroquine and Ivermectin that the studies were showing, anybody can go to c19early.com, there’s over 1,000 studies on therapeutics.”

He stated that Dr. Peter Mccullough said 85 per cent of COVID deaths could have been prevented if doctors had been able to prescribe therapeutics and do their jobs.”

“It just blew me away that Health Canada and our governments were not allowing doctors to do their job. The consequence of that was locking down the economy, experimental gene therapies were released. So the cost to the Canadian economy - 35,000 deaths and adding over $400 billion to our national debt - that is catastrophic.”

“The reason that happened is because we have gross incompetence if not malevolence behind what’s happened to our country. I believe that there are bad actors outside of Canada that are controlling our Prime Minister.”

“The WHO (World Health Organization) has played a major roll in controlling what’s going on in Canada. If I had been Prime Minister that would not have happened. I would have had my own Canadian doctors and scientists. I would have set up a commission of experts on this. And we would have made decisions in Canada for the best of the Canadian people.”

“We would have never locked down our economy the way we did.”

Bourgault feels his principles developed as a successful businessman would position him for a successful run for Prime Minister.

“I believe that I have an understanding of how to create a healthy country, a happy country. What goes with good health is happiness. And I know how to create a prosperous country.”

“I’m a principled leader. I govern according to principles. I believe in God and I believe my beliefs align with the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. God has to be at the centre of our society. Truth has to be one of the highest principles.”

“Freedom. Mandates violate our God given rights and freedoms. Freewill comes from our Creator not from government. Canadians, too many have given up their rights and freedoms and allowed this government to get away with forcing people to make medical decisions that could kill them or badly injure them, against their freewill, or else they’d lose a job.”

He equates this mandate requirement is extortion, assault, and violates consent.

“We have criminality going on in government right now and I want to put a stop to that. I believe that our freedoms come from God, and unless somebody is violating a criminal law, governments do not have a right to interfere in our lives as they have over the past two years.”

“Based on our principles we’re going to get rid of mandates. That’s one of the first things we’re going to do is get rid of these mandates which are really forcing people to make medical decisions against their freewill.”
