Jacob Heinrichs, age 71, went to his heavenly home on Thursday, May 4, 2023 at the Meadows – House 12, Swift Current, SK. Jacob George Heinrichs was born on December 29, 1951 to Abraham & Margaretha Heinrichs in Vanguard, SK. He grew up on a farm and attended school in Neville, SK. After completing high school, Jacob started his 39-year career as a Partsman. Jacob loved his job as he had a knack for numbers and it showed through the appreciati­on and respect from his customers. Jacob also loved old vehicles and restored his dad’s 1950 GMC truck. He enjoyed yard work, doing repairs, and working on his home. Jacob was very sociable and was always willing to give a helping hand. Jacob was predecease­d by his parents, Abraham & Margaretha Heinrichs; his father-in-law, Alvin Siemens; his brother-in-law, Lynn Koehler; his niece, Judy Heinrichs; and by his sister-in-law, Mary

Antonenko. Jacob is survived by his loving wife, Theresa Heinrichs (nee Siemens); his son, Jay (Kathryn) Heinrichs (Justyna and Samantha); his daughter, Erin Heinrichs; his grandpuppi­es, Otto, Genie, Ginger, and Teddie; his brothers, John (Julie) Heinrichs, Harvey (Lynn) Heinrichs, and Peter (Lydia) Heinrichs; his sister, Maryann (Richard) Neudorf; and by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and friends. Jacob’s family would like to thank Dr. R. Ibrahim and all the staff in House 12 at the Meadows for all their care and kindness to Jacob over the years. The Celebratio­n of Life for Jacob Heinrichs was held on Friday, May 12, 2023 at 2:00 pm from Church of the Open Bible, Swift Current, SK with Pastor Jay Hinds officiatin­g. The prelude was provided by Barb Klassen. “Nearer, My God, to Thee,” “It is Well,” and “Amazing Grace” were sung by the congregati­on under the leadership of Ron & Trudy Olfert. The tribute was given by Kathryn Heinrichs. A photo presentati­on was given by the Heinrichs family. The Scripture was John 6:40. The usher in the church was Robert Klassen. In lieu of flowers and in memory of Jacob Heinrichs, donations made to the Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital would be appreciate­d by the family.
