It is with great sadness we announce that at the age of 69, Eileen Kay Weber went to be with The Lord on Saturday, October the 7th 2023 after a battle with cancer. Eileen was born on February 11th, 1954 the 5th of 8 children to Paul and Annie Furman of Ernfold, Saskatchew­an. She followed in her older sibling’s footsteps and left home as a teen to work. She moved to Swift Current and waitressed at the bus depot where she met her future husband, Cliff Weber. They both accepted Jesus as their Savior and soon after were married on November 24th, 1973.Eileen’s greatest desire was to be a mom and in 1976 they welcomed their daughter Janet followed by their son Jamie in 1977. She loved children and chose to be a stay-athome mom. Once the children started school, she drove school bus which allowed her the same time off as them. In 1989 Cliff and Eileen opened their own business called Lone Star Electrical which they ran and then sold 14 years later. Throughout the years she had a variety of other jobs including hostessing at TNT restaurant being a Weight Watchers leader for 11 years, a circuit coach at a lady’s gym for 11 years and she spent 3 years at the gift shop at the Cypress Regional

Hospital. Eileen spent many happy hours volunteeri­ng in the community and with different ministries. Some of her favorites were the kid’s club program and women’s ministries at The Church of the Open Bible as well as helping to organize the provincial ladies’ retreats. She was a great cook and enjoyed using those skills to help cook at Cypress Bible Camp and head up a crew making meals at the soup kitchen. She also served on the board for Mckerrache­r Support Services. Eileen loved any opportunit­y to meet new people and she became a friend to all. In 2008 Eileen became a grandma for the first time and was blessed with 4 grandsons in total. She loved them to pieces and spent as much time as she could making memories with them. They loved going to the park and shopping at the dollar store with her. They loved it so much they even re-named it Gramma-rama. Left to cherish their memories of Eileen are her husband, Cliff of almost 50 years, daughter Janet (Dave) Yong of Portland, OR. Jamie (Carmen) Weber, parents of her beloved grandson’s Duke, Texas, Jet and Fox of Sparwood, BC. Sibling Larry Furman, Mike (Vivian) Furman, Joe (Caroline) Furman and sister-in-law Vicki Furman as well as various nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and her 97-year-old Aunt Cassie. She was predecease­d by her parents Paul and Annie Furman, brother Irvin Furman, sisters Frances Eklund, Betty and Jeannette Furman, niece Levonne Furman and brother-in-law Roy Eklund. Interment to be at 10:30am at Ernfold Cemetery at Ernfold, Sask. A celebratio­n of Eileen’s life will be held Friday, October 13th at 2:00pm at The Church of the Open Bible 290 19 Ave NE Swift Current, Sk. In Lieu of flowers the family is asking that donations to be made in Eileen’s memory to Cypress Hills Bible Camp. Arrangemen­ts are in care of Parkside Memorial Funeral Home – Ryan Cappelle & Hayden Cappelle.
