Alzheimer Society looking for volunteers in Swift Current
SUBMITTED BY ALZHEIMER SOCIETY
Are you searching for a meaningful volunteer opportunity in your community?
Everyone will be touched by dementia, whether a relative, a friend, a member of your community - or yourself. No one should have to face this disease alone.
The Alzheimer Society ensures no one has to walk that path alone. Raising money to ensure these vital supports continue is the reason we host the IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer’s.
We are actively seeking dynamic individuals who are passionate about leading and contributing to various aspects of our IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer’s, including volunteer coordination, sponsorships, communications, and more. You can be a part of this cause by joining one an organizing committee in one of our four Walk locations across Saskatchewan: Swift Current, Saskatoon, Prince Albert and Regina.
If you are located in any of these areas and would like to volunteer, please fill out our Online Volunteer Expression of Interest form.
Key Volunteer Roles Available:
Volunteer Coordinator: Recruiting, organizing, and directing volunteers on the day of the event.
Sponsorship Coordinator: Approaching potential sponsors and ensuring proper sponsorship recognition.
Logistics and Hospitality Coordinator: Securing family-friendly entertainment/activities, refreshments, and prizes for each walk location.
Communications Coordinator: Organizing advertisements and promotion of the Walk in your community and publicizing the day of event.
Committee Member: Reaching out to your connections and community to encourage participation and assisting committee coordinators as required.
Time Commitment: Longer-term (February – June 2024), involving one hour per week online (hours will increase as event date approaches).
Additionally, your presence on the day of the walk is crucial to our success. All of these Walks will be taking place on the weekend of May 25, 2024.
If you would like to volunteer, please complete our Expression of Interest form by February 2, 2024.
