WALL

Philip Richard, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother, passed away surrounded by love and family on February 28, 2024, at the age of 76. Philip and his beloved wife, Esther, celebrated 55 years of marriage in November 2023, a testament to their enduring love and partnership. Together, they navigated the joys and challenges of life, creating a family and a home filled with laughter and unconditional love. Their shared commitment to Christ was beautifully symbolized by their decision to be baptized together, further uniting them in faith and purpose. Philip leaves behind a loving family who will miss him dearly: his wife, Esther; his sons, Chad (Penny), Craig (Tami), Tim (Neysa), and Tyler (Carmen); his grandchildren, Amanda, Emily, Kelsie, Serina, Sparrow, Tristen, Haylee, Kaelan (Lana), Kasja, Gideon, and Elyse; seven great-grandchildren who brought him immense joy and pride; and his sister, Kathleen. Each of these individuals was a central part of Philip’s life, and he cherished every moment spent with them. Philip was determined and hardworking, embodying loyalty in every aspect of his life. He loved to listen to and tell stories, often reminiscing about family from the past and dreaming about future he would spend with, especially with his grandkids and great-grandkids. Philip’s journey on earth has ended, but his story continues through the lives he touched. He will be profoundly missed and forever remembered. The Wall family extends their heartfelt thanks to all who have shown support and love during this difficult time. A celebration of Philip’s life was held on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at East Side Church of God with Archie Neufeld officiating. The interment took place at Schanzenfeld Cemetery in the Wymark district. Funeral arrangements are in care of Parkside Memorial Funeral Home – Ryan Cappelle & Hayden Cappelle.
