Margaret was born on July 23, 1932 on the family farm near Pambrun, SK to Jacob and Katherine Heinrichs - the tenth child in a family of twelve. She was her dad’s little helper on the farm. Her family eventually moved to Wymark, SK, where she completed Grade 11. Margaret met dad, Jacob J. Dyck, fell in love and they married on August 3, 1952. They were married for over 71 years and had three children. The family moved from the Swift Current area in 1958 to a rural elevator point, Thunder Creek, near Central Butte, SK. Margaret and Jake were active in the Thunder Creek Community with baseball, dances and other social events. In 1972 Margaret and Jake moved their family to Rush Lake. It is here they got to know and made friends in another friendly community. In 1976 their family moved to Swift Current. Margaret worked at Cypress Hills Cheese Plant and at the Southside Co-op. Margaret enjoyed watching her family grow, as her children married and had their own families. Margaret looked forward to attending her grandchildren's special occasions. Margaret loved camping in the summer at SK Landing, Lac Pelletier and Cypress Hills parks. She was an avid reader, and enjoyed watching sporting events. Margaret had a stroke in 2018, and made her new home at the Meadows. Margaret soon warmed the hearts of the residence and staff; she was grateful for the wonderful care she received.
