After extensive research and development with input from professional guides, Seaward Kayaks’ new Guide 17 features a rockered, semi V-hull, length of 5.2 m (17 ft), and width of 58.4 cm (23 in) to combine speed with optimum maneuverability for touring paddlers. Some highlights of the Guide 17 include 85 litres of storage in the bow, 73 litres of storage in the stern hatch, plus another 41 litres of space in the rear day-hatch. There’s even a forward day hatch with a knee tube. It also features the company’s Safe-hatch System, which offers three layers of storage protection for your gear. Other highlights include the safety grab loops (forward and stern), painter/tow line, the smart track footrests, plus the mid-ship skeg to ensure tracking. When it comes to comfort, the anatomically- molded, padded seat has an adjustable backrest to raise or lower the seat back. You can also adjust its angle forward or backwards.
