The Activecaptain app is designed to synch and share navigation information between IOS or Android smart devices and your Garmin chartplotter. Some of the key highlights is the ability to update maps/ charts on your phone then synch the information to your chartplotter. You can also purchase new ones from the Onechart storefront. While underway, calls and text messages on your phone can be conveniently viewed on your chartplotter and when visiting new bodies of water, you can even connect to the app’s Activecaptain Community to get details on local marinas and other points of interest. If you enjoy a certain area the transfer routes or waypoints are automatically stored in the app for future reference (for GPSMAP chartplotters only).
