For 2019, Lowrance announced updated software for its HDS Carbon, HDS Gen3 and Elite-ti displays to improve readability, functionality and overall convenience on the water. The updates start with Fishreveal, which offers real-time CHIRP sonar and Downscan Imaging to view fish orienting themselves around structure (with clearly defined fish arches) and observe photo-like images of the bottom. Further, you’ll like the benefits of the High-visibility Color Sonar system that includes Sidescan, Downscan Imaging and Structurescan 3D that now produce richer images below each side – and directly below – your boat. It even automatically enhances brightness in darker areas, while simultaneously preventing overexposure in brighter conditions. When it comes to navigation, the C-MAP Easy Routing and Navionics Dock-to-dock Autorouting is now faster, more simplified and even safer as it automatically plots the shortest course based on the boat’s draft, beam or height, and creates a route around a landmass, shoals or other fixed hazards. You’ll also appreciate the upgrades to the C-MAP Navigation Palette C-MAP charts that now make it clearer to see where your boat is in relation to channels, navaids, drop-offs or points of land.
