Of­fi­cers save life of un­con­scious man

El­gin County OPP of­fi­cers are be­ing cred­ited with sav­ing the life of a man found un­con­scious in a ve­hi­cle on Mon­day. Po­lice re­ceived re­ports of a sus­pi­cious ve­hi­cle pulled over on High­way 401 in South­wold at about 2:30 a.m. Of­fi­cers couldn’t wake the driver, who was alone, and the doors were locked, po­lice said. Of­fi­cers ra­dioed for paramedics who de­ter­mined the man was in med­i­cal dis­tress. Of­fi­cers forced their way into the ve­hi­cle through the pas­sen­ger door. A 35-yearold Mis­sis­sauga man was taken to hos­pi­tal where doc­tors said he would have died if left at the road­side, po­lice said.
