Collision sends two to hospital
A driver is charged after a collision Monday at an intersection near downtown that injured two people. A 58-year-old man was driving south on Elgin Street at about 12:30 p.m when collided with vehicle being driven west on Wellington Street by a 42-year-old man. Airbags were deployed in each vehicle and both drivers were taken to St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police said. The 58-yearold man is charged with failing to stop for a red light.
