Cut­ting oil pro­duc­tion may hurt prov­inces

Al­berta not get­ting its price for oil is a na­tional cri­sis? Sorry, no sym­pa­thy from this house­hold. That’s the prov­ince that ad­vised “Eastern bas­tards to freeze – in the dark.” That’s the prov­ince that will­fully mis­man­aged its en­ergy pro­duc­tion for decades.

That’s the prov­ince that brags that it doesn’t have a sales tax. That’s the prov­ince that brags about the low­est taxes in Canada. Time to get real.

Higher oil prices mean gas will re­turn to $1.30 per litre at the pump in Eastern Canada. That will be a se­ri­ous na­tional cri­sis. Rich Vivone Kingston
