FUSS-FREE LIVING IN EXCEL TOWNHOMES
A distinctive Dutch influence and a community garden offer unique appeal for buyers seeking townhomes in the city’s south end.
Holland Park in Walden is one of Excel Homes’ first townhome projects with condo fees.
“We usually do single family or detached, or townhouses in (surrounding) towns, but not in the city,” says Stephanie Chapman, marketing and communications specialist for Excel.
Once completed, there will be 216 townhomes in 21 buildings featuring what Chapman calls a “modern, contemporary and very clean European minimalist look” that stands out for its uniqueness but also fits within the Walden streetscape.
The three-storey townhomes will range from 1,177-1,452 square feet, with several floor plans, including two- and threebedroom units, three-bedroom plus flex/den space, and some with dual master bathrooms.
All units in the first phase have double rear-drive garages, with the remaining units having tandem (one behind the other) garages, so all garages hold two cars.
Excel isn’t releasing all floor plans at once, and not all are available right away, but the company soft-launched preconstruction sales of 10 recently, with a grand opening last month.
Like the exteriors, Holland Park’s townhomes carry the clean, modern, simplistic lines inside, and feature large windows throughout, nine-foot ceilings, quartz countertops, Whirlpool stainless-steel appliances and Delta chrome fixtures.
Two designer interior colour schemes are offered, and upgrades include smart tech features such as a Nest Learning Thermostat that adjusts to temperature preferences and times of day for energy efficiency, wireless keyless entry, video doorbell and outdoor security camera.
