Owner of trucking company involved in Humboldt Broncos bus crash charged
The owner of the Calgary-based trucking company involved in the deadly Humboldt Broncos crash has been charged, Alberta’s transportation minister revealed Wednesday.
Sukhmander Singh, the owner of Adesh Deol Trucking Ltd., faces eight counts of non-compliance with federal and provincial safety regulations over a six-month period. Each charge carries a penalty of $310 to $5,000.
A federal Crown prosecutor will handle the case. Singh is scheduled to appear in a Calgary court on Nov. 9. More on trucking industry changes at thestar.com/calgary
