Owner of truck­ing com­pany in­volved in Hum­boldt Bron­cos bus crash charged

The owner of the Cal­gary-based truck­ing com­pany in­volved in the deadly Hum­boldt Bron­cos crash has been charged, Al­berta’s trans­porta­tion min­is­ter re­vealed Wed­nes­day.

Sukhman­der Singh, the owner of Adesh Deol Truck­ing Ltd., faces eight counts of non-com­pli­ance with fed­eral and pro­vin­cial safety reg­u­la­tions over a six-month pe­riod. Each charge car­ries a penalty of $310 to $5,000.

A fed­eral Crown pros­e­cu­tor will han­dle the case. Singh is sched­uled to ap­pear in a Cal­gary court on Nov. 9. More on truck­ing in­dus­try changes at thes­tar.com/cal­gary
