SNL’S Pete Davidson wishes Ariana Grande all the best
After a whirlwind relationship marked by a surprise engagement, matching tattoos and a pet pig, Pete Davidson tried to close the book on his breakup with Ariana Grande on TV. The comedian and actor’s appearance on Saturday Night Live was punctuated by quick quips about their flash in the pan romance.
“Hey Maggie, I’m Pete. Do you wanna get married?” Davidson said to musical guest Maggie Rogers, poking fun his quick engagement.
While Davidson did impressions of political candidates on the “Weekend Update,” he said that he’s been more into politics since “I had to move back in with my mom,” referring to the $16million apartment he and Grande had moved into.

“The last thing I will say is I know some of you are curious about the breakup, but the truth is it’s nobody’s business,” he said. “Sometimes things just don’t work out, and that’s OK. She’s a wonderful, strong person, and I genuinely wish her all the happiness in the world.”
Minutes before the show aired, Grande released a new song titled “Thank u, next.” She sings of Davidson, saying “Even almost got married / And for Pete I’m so thankful.”
