Halsey criticizes Victoria’s Secret exec’s transphobic comments about fashion show

StarMetro Vancouver - - THE KIT -

Following her performance at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, which aired Sunday night, Halsey is making it clear that she does not agree with the anti-trans comments made by the company’s chief marketing officer, Ed Razek.

In a letter to Instagram, the singer, who identifies as bisexual, wrote that it had been a dream of hers to appear in the show.

Yet, her performance was filmed before Razek gave a controversial interview to Vogue, saying he didn’t think the show should include “transsexuals” because “the show is a fantasy.”

Halsey said she did not agree with the comments, and directed viewers to check out GLSEN, an organization that protects LGBTQ youth.
