Reliq files fraud claims against ex-employees

RELIQ HEALTH Technologies Inc. has issued the following statement.

In January,2019, Reliq Health Technologies served actions against Stephen Samson, Boby Deveros, Claudio Damaso, George Rayner, Shelby Neal, Accuhealth Technologies LLC, Evelyn Technologies LLC and Evelyn Technologies Canada Inc. in the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Superior Court of the State of Delaware and another court (under seal). The defendants are former employees of the company as well as various individuals associated with the former employees. The company’s claims pertain to, among other things, mis representation, fraudulent conduct and inducing breach of contract by the individuals, relating to events that resulted in the restatement of the company’s financial statements on Oct. 16, 2018. The defendants in one of the actions have filed a motion to dismiss based on anti-SLAPP (strategic lawsuit against public participation) legislation. The company believes that the motion to dismiss is without merit, and intends to both vigorously defend the motion and continue to prosecute its claims against all defendants.
