MESSAGE FROM THE EDITOR

Living the Life and Printing the Passion

- BY CHRIS HAMILTON

EIGHT DAYS UNTIL DEADLINE AND FIVE DAYS ‘TILL SEMA. That’s where my mind is at while writing this piece. On paper, the detailed path to editorial deadlines are neatly organized and easily assembled. However, inside the head of the editor in charge of making sure those deadlines hit can be quite the opposite. Bad weather, miscommunication and just straight up procrastination tend to make deadlines tight near the end, but with a great team and constant determination we never fail.

Filling up this issue made for some really great times and some very exciting content. Throughout the following pages you can check out some interesting content, including our meet and greet with the stars newest of “Speed is the New Black.” A Ford and a Chevy that are built to drive and beautiful to look at. Moving on we bring you a few other well-built weekend rides from all over the country, spanning decades with some of our industry’s greatest trucks. Tre5 Customs is back with some killer tech for a K5 Blazer, and we slap a Procharger in a lifted 5.3-L Silverado to get some much-needed power.

Show coverage in this issue includes Slamily Reunion and Severed in the Midwest so sit back and relax. We love checking out these events and we know you do, too, so we added an extended list to our events page in the back of this issue as well. Be sure to stay with us online so you can see a lot of the behind-the-scene action while making these issues and check out our website for additional content from photo shoots and tech installs. As always, we appreciate the support and looking forward to seeing you out there!
