DREAM WEAVER

-

We love it when good things happen to good people, and it’s even better when good people make good things happen – like Nikki Starrett of Pomp & Sass. The Canadian entrepreneur and textile designer launched her luxury woven towel company last year. Although the pandemic was not part of the business plan, Nikki plowed on, proving it’s possible to create a luxury product under fair and equitable conditions. She chose a family-owned business in Turkey to make her hammam-style woven towels because they pay fair wages, set ethical work hours and the site is safe and clean. The towels are produced without harmful chemicals, and are shipped in enviro-friendly packaging by workers in Canada earning above minimum wage. If that doesn’t bring a smile to your face, the touch of these towels will. From $25, pompandsass.ca.
