STRAIGHT UP John Kryk
Brock Osweiler started playing a lot like Brock Osweiler in that loss at Houston a week ago Thursday. Still, the Dolphins’ temp QB is making more good plays than at previous stops. That’ll be enough vs. Jets.
KRYK PICK: The Lions normally play well against the Vikings. And the Vikings aren’t playing well at home this year — with losses to Buffalo and New Orleans, and meh wins vs. San Fran and Arizona. But expect a big W this time. No one’s talking about the Redskins and their first 5-2 start in 10 years. Atlanta’s defence can’t stop much of anything, pass or run, while the Redskins defence is legit. Hail to the Redskins, again.
KRYK PICK: The Broncos have been more competitive than their 3-5 record suggests — with a pair of close losses to KC and another to the Rams. The Texans have won five in a row, but Denver takes this one.
KRYK PICK: Both teams coming off byes. The Chargers offence is humming, and although Seattle’s unsung, no-name defence has impressed so far, it won’t be able to stop Phil Rivers and Co.
KRYK PICK: The two teams with the best records in the NFC — the 8-0 Rams and 6-1 Saints. The only team to beat New Orleans this year needed to score 48 points to do it (Tampa Bay). LA could do that, but won’t.
KRYK PICK: A couple of decent passers you might have heard of square off in this one. The Packers just traded away a good starting safety in Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, to Washington. Think Tom Brady doesn’t know it?
KRYK PICK: Both teams are coming off byes. Anxious to see how newly acquired WR Amari Cooper fares in his first game as a Cowboy, against a tough Titans defence. The Dallas D is better, though.
