Game on!

IT’S been quite a year for the video game industry. Nintendo’s Wii still leads in living room sales, but Sony’s Playstation 3 and Microsoft’s Xbox 360 are gaining. To make things even more interesting, PS3 and Xbox 360 both gain motion-sensing add-ons this year, finally crashing the Wii’s party. Speaking of crashing the party, cheap games offered through Apple’s app store for the iPod Touch, iPhone and iPad hit Nintendo hard in the handheld gaming market. Its DS lineup remains popular, but with Apple threatening to siphon customers, Nintendo is releasing a high-powered 3-D version of the DS in 2011. If a new video game system is in the cards for your household this holiday season, most people are plunking down for one of four options. Keep your eyes peeled for specially priced holiday console bundles!
