KINECT WITH A WINNER
Microsoft’s Xbox 360 is improved for 2010, with a new slim version that appears to have addressed the “ red ring of death” design flaw that made the system synonymous with premature failure. The Kinect motion capture peripheral looks to be a winner too. Xbox 360 has been a favourite of hardcore gamers, thanks to a strong online network ( Xbox LIVE) and exclusive titles like the Halo franchise. The least expensive Xbox 360 skips a hard drive ( using 4 GB of onboard storage instead) to cut the price to $ 199.99. The 2010 Holiday bundle includes two games and a 250 GB hard drive for $ 299.99, while Kinect bundles top out at $ 399.99.
