Veho Kasa LED light strip
Veho’s solution is the least dramatic of those on offer here, and perhaps the least overblown: it’s an unprotected strip of RGB- only LEDs with a Bluetooth controller. That does mean making some sacrifices, both in terms of positioning (don’t get ’em wet) and expectations. The lack of white spectrum lights means the default white mode trends heavily towards the blue, and Veho’s app is, to put it mildly, a little hard to navigate – and to put it harshly, it’s a bit rubbish. It does, however, work (at least once the app has found the Bluetooth strip) and given the generous 3M-long strip and how compact the controller is, this is an absolute bargain. In fact, it’s cheaper than most single smart bulbs, let alone LED strips half its length. It’s trimmable, too, so sacrificing a few inches here may sting less than cutting a chunk from a Hue strip.
T3 SAYS A rough-and-ready light strip with a few kinks to work out, but at this price it’s one that you should absolutely consider.
