For over six years the Lucky Rice festival has celebrated Asian cuisine, bringing night markets, ramen feasts, mock-Chinese wedding banquets and more to major cities across North America. Now its founder, Danielle Chang, extends the celebratio­n into the kitchens of home chefs with her first cookbook. Compiling over 100 of her own recipes, Chang's collection of enduring dishes hops around Asia, from classics such as Kimchi and Beef Noodle Soup, to new creations like Jewish Pastrami Egg Rolls and Asian Gazpacho.
