What’s new in the world of culinary travel.

Autumn means it’s time for harvest-themed cuisine at Mount Julian, the finedining restaurant at Viamede Resort north of Peterborough. Opt for the tasting menu of five, seven or nine courses, paired with exceptional Niagara wines and you’ll enjoy Forest to Fork dining featuring inventive ingredients such as cattails, pickled onions as well as house smoked trout, venison and other discoveries sourced from farm and forest. The culinary experience takes place within the Mount Julian inn, a historic building dating to 1887, overlooking the fall colours of Stoney Lake. As part of the new resort experience menu, guests can also participate in a Chef’s Tour of the herb garden and forage for wild edibles.
