Ginger Simple Syrup

White Sugar ½ cup

Water 1 cup Fresh Ginger 1 thumb, peeled and cubed Powdered Ginger ½ tsp

1 PLACE all the ingredient­s in a saucepan and bring to a boil, stirring continuous­ly to dissolve the sugar.

2 REDUCE to a simmer for 5 minutes. 3 REMOVE from the heat and let cool.

4 REFRIGERAT­E until needed. Remove the chunks of ginger before serving.
