Taronga Zoo Launches Eco-Retreat
AUSTRALIA'S FAMOUS TARONGA ZOO has launched Wildlife Retreat at Taronga, a new eco-retreat that offers guests the opportunity to spend the night in luxury amongst the zoo's animals while supporting wildlife conservation projects. Within five lodges, 62 rooms and suites overlook the surrounding habitat, as well some breathtaking views of Sydney Harbour. Set amongst the zoo's diverse native bushland, the lodges are sustainably designed and environmentally friendly, with sustainable amenities and no single-use plastics. Apart from waking up to the sounds of native Australian animals like koalas, echidnas and lyrebirds, guests can join guided tours or explore the sanctuary in their own time. Wildlife Retreat is owned and operated by Taronga Conservation Society Australia, which contributes towards the care of Taronga's animals, as well as other conservation and education programs in Australia and around the world.
