World Central Kitchen Feeds Bahamas Hurricane Victims

-

THOUGH REBECCA AND TIM TIBBITS, the Canadian ex-pat restaurant owners of highly-regarded Flying Fish Gastro Bar on Grand Bahama, would have chosen better circumstances to meet their idol Chef José Andrés of World Central Kitchen, they were quick to join him and his team to prepare over one million hot meals for the victims of Hurricane Dorian. Rebecca Tibbits admits that the need continues in the Bahamas, and will for a while, but she says it was incredible to witness how the operation, committed to assisting those affected by natural disasters, mobilized so quickly. To date, SpanishAmerican Chef Andrés and his stellar chef relief team of the non-profit organization World Central Kitchen have served over 8 million meals to natural disaster victims around the world.
