Phoenix cut two players

Wellington Phoenix have terminated the contracts of midfielder Mitch Nichols and defender Reuben Way by mutual consent.

Nichols, a former Australian international, failed to impress during a rare start against the Central Coast Mariners on Saturday.

The Phoenix said Way is currently undergoing rehab for an injury.
