PolyCello named one of Canada’s 50 best-managed companies
AMHERST – PolyCello has been named one of Canada’s 50 bestmanaged companies.
A maker of flexible packaging products, the 50-year-old company employs about 350 and is located in the Amherst Industrial Park.
The designation is awarded to Canadian companies that have implemented world-class business practices and created value in innovative ways.
“ The award is recognition of our competitive advantage – the talent, commitment and dependability of our people,” said Stephen Emmerson, president and CEO of PolyCello.
“ To be recognized as one of Canada’s best managed is a significant honour and one in which we are extremely proud.”
The company’s packaging is found presenting and preserving food and paper products in millions of North American households.
“ We believe that there are three vital building blocks to sustainable growth: strategy, capability, and commitment, said John Hughes, a spokesman for Deloitte, a national sponsor of the Best Managed program.
“PolyCello has demonstrated it is a model of success in all three areas and is duly awarded one of Canada’s best-managed.”
Winners of the Canada’s 50 best-managed companies award, along with requalified and platinum club members, will be honoured at a Feb. 9 gala in Toronto.
“It’s really a team effort,” said PolyCello communications and promotions co-ordinator Sarah Cooke.
“ This isn’t a management award or an individual award. We work really well as a team and this is a collective acknowledgement of what a great team we are.”
