Where are Liberal health-care promises?

To the editor,

I received a call from a citizen to discuss the current health crisis in Cumberland County.

This person was very frustrated with the current state of our health system and reaching out to whomever she could to try to find answers. We spoke about 10 minutes and I explained the issue from my point of view.

This is a provincial matter and our MLAs are our point of contact. I also explained that finally citizens are speaking out thanks to Dr. Brian Ferguson and his efforts.

After we spoke I found literature left from last by-election. The Liberal literature talked about stronger health care and protecting our most valuable neighbours, recruiting 20 new family doctors and 15 new specialists each year - and the list goes on.

My question is: what is our government doing? Each and every taxpayer deserves a health system without Band Aid fixes like we currently have. Unfortunately, we all do not live in Halifax.
