A reason to celebrate

The Springhill Lions Club has good news!

It’s thrilled to confirm the success of the Fill-A-Bookbag drive this year. Thanks to your kind donations, we were able to assist 27 local families with preparing for the new school year, providing bags, writing utensils, binders, and other vital tools for learning. It’s always a very rewarding endeavour, and thanks again to all who contributed.

Congratulations to the winner of this year’s Duck Race, Justin Harroun. Justin brings home a hefty $500 prize, as well as a tally in the win column of the prestigious sport of duck racing. Thank you to all who participated in the event, and we wish you the best of luck for next year’s race.

We are also excited for our annual visit from the district governor this month. It’s always great to have guests at our meetings, and also to keep in touch with other clubs and Lions, so to be able to do both at once is great. From the street: “Springhill Lions are awesome! I understand they helped over 50 less fortunate students this fall by supplying them with bookbags and school supplies! They’re a busy group of dedicated workers.” - Anonymous
