Petit­co­diac-Sal­is­bury, East Hants and Bed­ford win Bluenose ti­tles

Isaac Lewis re­cov­ered from a hard hit in the big­gest way scor­ing the game-win­ner mid­way through over­time to lift the Sal­is­bury-Petit­co­diac Fly­ers to a 3-2 win over the Queens County Cougars in the Mid­get A fi­nal at the 53rd Carter’s Crest­ing Bluenose Mi­nor Hockey Tour­na­ment on Oct. 21.

Lewis took a hard hit along the boards late in the third pe­riod and limped to the bench, but in over­time took a pass from Kyler Lively to beat Cougars’ goalie Keigan Sears to win the game. Tye Mun­roe also added an as­sist.

Tay­lor Black and Joel Steeves also scored for the Fly­ers.

Tay­lor Good­ick scored both goals for the Cougars, in­clud­ing a goal late in the third pe­riod to force the ex­tra pe­riod.

In the Pee­wee AAA fi­nal, Pey­ton Can­non scored in the third pe­riod to lift the East Hants Pen­guins to a 2-1 win over the Glace Bay Min­ers.

Jack Liv­ing­stone also scored for the Pen­guins while Ry­land Han­ra­han scored for Glace Bay.

Ryan Walsh and Ja­cob Ma­cAulay each had a goal and an as­sist as the Bed­ford Blues de­feated the Yar­mouth Mariners 5-4 in the Pee­wee A fi­nal.

Jake Roy, Rowan Houli­han and Brody Hilton-King also scored for Bed­ford while Blake Newell had three goals for Yar­mouth and Ben Lyons scored once.


The Bed­ford Blues de­feated Yar­mouth 5-4 to cap­ture the Pee­wee A cham­pi­onship at the 53rd Carter’s Crest­ing Bluenose Mi­nor Hockey Tour­na­ment.
