Association seeking donations for Shop My Closet

The Amherst News - - CLASSIFIEDS / CHURCHES - Gail Wagstaff Gail Wagstaff writes for the Port Greville area for the Amherst News.

It never surprises me when the community comes together in unity.

For example, a good crowd attended the Remembrance Day church service, wreath-laying ceremony and luncheon in Port Greville. An added moving touch was the 100 tolls of the church bells to honour the 100th anniversary of the Armistice 1918.

Many of the youth took the time this year to thank a war veteran, current or past CAF member through a handwritten post card.

Personally, I feel that we must always remember the great sacrifices

made both in war and in peace.
