The 14th an­nual Gan­der In­vi­ta­tional Ski Meet took place at the Air­port Nordic Ski Club from March 24-25.

The first day of races saw 37 freestyle sprint­ers take part, and 40 rac­ers at the mass start the fol­low­ing day.

The Gan­der In­vi­ta­tional is part of the New­found­land & Labrador Cup Se­ries, with freestyle sprints fol­lowed by three rounds of “King’s Court” for­mat races. The top skiers in a heat moved ahead, while the re­main­ing skiers dropped back.

Sun­day‘s event, a free tech­nique event on a new course, fo­cused on the Gold Trail, done with one to three laps of the 3.15 km course.

The next NL Cup race will be in St. An­thony at the Aurora Ski Club on April 14-15.

A mass start race dur­ing the 14th an­nual Gan­der In­vi­ta­tional Ski Meet at the Air­port Nordic Ski Club in Gan­der from March 24-25 saw 40 rac­ers leav­ing at once.
