Seniors a commodity?

The Beacon Herald - - OPINION -

The Nursing Home Action Coalition, speaking on a recent W5 report, addressed the huge profits made by owners of many of Ontario’s long-term-care homes. Sadly this is being done to the detriment, neglect and abuse suffered by many residents. It was appalling to see some of the actual cases.

To place more importance on profits than the comfort and care of vulnerable seniors needs to be immediately resolved. If we allow this to continue, then we as a society are just as guilty.

Perhaps we old folks are just considered to be a money-making commodity. I want to believe that isn’t so.
