Late goals lift Rock­ets past Lin­colns

The Strathroy Rock­ets scored twice in 41 sec­onds late in the third pe­riod to seal a 4-2 win over the St. Marys Lin­colns Fri­day night at the Pyra­mid Re­cre­ation Cen­tre.

Max Ewart broke a 2-2 tie at 18:51 of the third, and Zachary Ber­ri­ault added an empty-net­ter with 28 sec­onds left. Both Ewart and Ber­ri­ault fin­ished with two goals. Jake We­ston and Ma­son Goldie replied for the Lin­colns.

Rock­ets goalie Vince Miche­lizzi stopped 19 shots in the win, and St. Marys net­min­der Kyle Curtin made 23 saves.

Strathroy went 1-for-4 on the power play, and St. Marys was 1-for-5.

The Lin­colns fell to 6-12-0-1 and are one point ahead of Strathroy for last in the West­ern Con­fer­ence.
