THE CASKET

The Casket was established by John Boyd in 1852 and the name comes from the recommendation of Dr. William Currie, a local physician. The word, casket, at the time, meant a treasure box, a container of precious things. The Casket is the oldest continuing weekly paper in Canada.

Inserts can be reserved up until 1 p.m. on Tuesday the week prior to insertion. Inserts must be delivered to press location Friday the week prior to insertion.
