Funeral service for the late Mary Catheline Samson, 84, Little

Anse, was held October 17 in St. Joseph’s Church, Petit de Grat, with Father Michel Exalant officiating. Burial was in Star of the Sea Cemetery, Petit de Grat.

Mrs. Samson died October 11, 2018, in St. Martha’s Regional Hospital, Antigonish.

Born November 7, 1933, in Petit de Grat, she was a daughter of the late Johnnie and Mary Elizabeth (Boudreau) Samson. A devoted Catholic, she was kind hearted and would help anyone in need. She enjoyed playing cards and having get-together that included delicious food.

She is survived by daughter, Angela, Halifax; three sons, Gerry (Karen), Halifax; Herman (Aline), Little Anse; Bradley (Shirley), Louisdale; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brother,

Abel, Alderney Point; three sisters, Laura (Cletus), Delta, British Columbia; Jacqueline (Cornelius), Louisdale; Viola, Petit de Grat.

She was predeceased by her former husband, Leo; daughter, Deborah Samson; son, Albert; two grandchildren, Daniel and Kenneth Pitcher; brother, Anthony; two sisters, Blandine David, Delta Fraser.

Memorial donations may be made to the Strait Richmond Palliative Care Society or St. Ann Centre.
